Annette has a passion for food; her diverse and inventive menus are guaranteed to delight your taste buds.. 

 

Whether cycling or skiing, the evening meal is an important element of your holiday. With a well-deserved reputation for fine food, Annette is totally focused on ensuring each dish is of the highest quality, full of flavour and well presented. 

 

For clients with specific dietary requirements, we are always available to discuss menus and adapt them accordingly where at all possible. 

 

Annette's real passion is baking; her home make cakes and treats receive regular compliments from hungry cyclists and skiers after a long day on the mountain. However it is the deserts that ensure the camera is pulled out to show friends and family back home.

Hearty "continental style" breakfast:

 

During both winter and summer guests will enjoy a good breakfast to kick-start their day. Typically this will include croissants and locally baked bread with home-made jams. Fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, fruit juice tea and coffee. 

 

Cyclists taking part in one of our events can enjoy a bowl of porridge to fuel up pre-race. When travelling to an event there will also be coffee and home-made breakfast muffins before you start. 

 

Afternoon home-made cakes, treats and refreshments:

Whether skiing all day, or spending a long day in the saddle, guests will be welcomed back to Villa Portillon with a selection of delicious home-made cakes, muffins & cookies whilst relaxing with a cup of tea or coffee. 

 

Upon request Annette is happy to make a cake to help celebrate a special occasion.

Three course evening meal with regional wine, tea or coffee:

 

The highlight of the day (or so our guests keep telling us) is the evening meal. Where friends, families or just groups of like-minded sports enthusiasts can sit around the table, enjoy good food and wine, and discuss the day's events.

 

The key is well prepared, quality ingredients complimented with home-made sauces to create a menu with diversity, strong flavours and presentation that really makes you want to savour every mouthful. 

 

Local vegetables will be plentiful, and with artisanal breads and good wine - the atmosphere is set. 

 

As for us, the sound of laughter drifting into the kitchen is a sure sign that the evening is going well, and that the hard work and attention to detail by Annette has hit the mark.
